Coolest and Funniest Film and TV Characters Ever

After reminiscing my favorite films, I felt that it's just right to make a list of the coolest film and TV characters too. My criteria? I’ll let you play the role of the shrink and analyze them if you have seen the film or the series. If you haven’t, it’s time to watch it.

This list is not a ranking. It’s just random, whoever pops up in mind with their famous lines (just a classic introvert).

1.    Captain Louis Renault – Casablanca, 1942

“Round up the usual suspect!”

2.    Megamind

I got the feeling that the first person to teach Megamind how to read was French or one of the inmates was French. He read “school” like the French “ch”. He answers the telephone with “Allo” and he says “Bravo!” with the accent.

“Incredibly handsome criminal genius and a master of all villainy…”

3.    The Dude – The Big Lebowski, 1998

“Careful man, there’s a beverage here.”

4.    Rorschach – Watchmen, 2009

“I am not locked in here with you, you are locked in here with ME!” Rorschach to the inmates.

“Doctor, tell me. What do you see?” Rorschach to the shrink.

5.    Jay and Silent Bob – Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, 2001

“Tickets? Since when did they start charging for the bus? Didn't we use to ride that shit to school every morning for free?” Jay when they took the bus.

6.    Colonel Hans Landa –

It’s his personality that is cool and not his being a Nazi.

“Facts could be misleading, whereas, rumors, true or false, are revealing.”

7.    Alabama – True Romance, 1993

“That's the way romance is. Usually, that's the way it goes. But every once in awhile, it goes the other way too.”

8.    Captain Jack Sparrow – Pirates of the Caribbean

“A dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It’s the honest ones you want to watch out for because you can never predict when they’re going to do something incredibly stupid.”

9.    Will, Jay, Simon, and Neil – E4’s The Inbetweeners (The British)

Will after drinking cans of energy drinks while studying:

“I mean look at this I must have read about the Accountability of Legislatures to Citizens 50 times and I still don't know what it means! I'm starting to doubt if "Legislatures" is even a word! It doesn't look like a word anymore - none of them do. They just look like squiggles on a page! Is this a word? Yes. Council. Is it?”

10. Amber – House, Season 4

She admits and didn’t mind being regarded as a cut-throat bitch.

11.  All of May West’s characters and every word that comes out of her mouth.

"When choosing between two evils, I always like to try the one I've never tried before."' – Klondike Annie

12. Samantha Jones – Sex and the City The Series

“I love you but, I love me more.”

“He did something that was so perverse: He tried to hold my hand." When her boyfriend Jerrod held her hand, she avoided it and she fell on a hole injuring her foot.

13.  The Holmes brothers: Sherlock and Mycroft – BBC’s Sherlock

"I'm not a psychopath, Anderson. I'm a high-functioning sociopath. Do your research."-Sherlock

14. Nathan – E4’s Misfits

He’s the immortal with a mouth that needs some washing.

“We were so beautiful!”

“Come on. Look, we're a bunch of young offenders and not one of us knows how to steal a car? That is pathetic.”

15.  Kelly Bailey - E4’s Misfits

My English isn’t good enough to understand her accent. This telepath’s accent would make you wait for her to speak.

“I’m a rocket scientist.”

16. Dr. Gregory House – House

He is a pain in the hmm neck but being the genius he is, each of the  IxTxJs group of Myers-Briggs personality types has been claiming him to be one of their kind.

“If you talk to God, you are religious. If God talks to you, you are psychotic.”

17. Dr. James Wilson – House

He is a very good complement to Dr. House. Nice but still comical.
“Dying’s easy. Living’s hard.”

18. Helena – Orphan Black, TV series

She eats all the time.

19.  Atty. Saul Goodman – Breaking Bad

Saul Goodman is cooler than Jimmy McGill. Well, Jimmy’s the beginning of Saul.

20. Allison and Donnie – Orphan Black TV Series

Allison: It’s Helena we’re talking about. She eats frozen foods and she has murdered people.
Donnie: Well, so have we…
Allison: It’s different. Helena’s trained to kill people. We’re manslaughterers.

If you remember some more characters and films or series please, please let me know by commenting below. Thanks!
